Position Overview & Specifications
NES sits within the Long-Term Neurological Conditions unit of services alongside the Neurological Case Management Service and the Sheffield Community Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team. You will also be a member of the Older Adults and Neurological Conditions Psychology department, working across stroke, dementia, brain injury, and mental health. We are committed to providing good supervision, professional development, peer support, learning, and training/ CPD.

To support the delivery of stepped psychological care by the team. You will complete psychologically and neuropsychologically informed assessments and interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist specialising in neuropsychology. The work of psychology in this setting includes cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, behaviours of concern, supporting Mental Capacity Act assessments and care planning, and improving emotional and psychological wellbeing and adjustment. This will require close multidisciplinary working with the NES team, multiagency liaison with professionals in other services, and work with families and carers.
This role is based in Sheffield and involves travel across the city to visit patients in their homes; a valid driving licence and use of a car is essential due to the nature of the role.
