Outline of Role
What you’ll do:
As our M&E Site Manager at Battersea Power Station*, you will be responsible for the development of our site relationships with your customer/project, management of subcontractors to ensure timely progress of work, quality control to successfully deliver the installation and handover to the commissioning team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, key responsibilities will include:
- Management and monitoring of subcontractors to ensure successful completion of Group SCS and customer-required planned activities for on-time delivery of the projects
- Attending Group SCS and customer-required daily briefings and coordination meetings to drive progress forward and ensure accurate minuting of agreements within these meetings
- Assisting with building long-term working relationships with your site-based clients (QS, Site Managers, Project Managers/Directors)
- Abiding by the company’s H&S and QA process and procedures
- Thorough documentation management
- Coordination of site logistics and deliveries
- Collecting, recording and reporting progress to Project Managers
- Proactive in resolving day-to-day site coordination issues and activities
- Undertake any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business
About You – What you will bring to us
- Practical on-site construction experience
- CITB H&S Qualified (CSCS & SMSTS)
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Full clean driving licence
- Experience working in a construction environment and enjoy being on site
- You always aim to deliver great customer service in everything you do, but you are not afraid to say ‘No’ when needed
- Candidates will be required to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be passionate about buildings and love working with people
- Able to work independently and with initiative, but enjoy being part of a team and involved in the bigger picture
Place of Work
- Your place of work will be at Battersea Power Station for the duration of the project. We currently estimate this to be until September 2023, but this date is subject to change in line with the project programme. Following completion of the Battersea project, you will join Group SCS’s London projects’ team whose offices are located in Cannon Street, London EC4M.
