What it’s all about

Ready to immerse yourself in the fast-paced and exciting world of financial technology? Our Digital and Technology Degree Apprenticeship will give you the technical skills and business acumen to launch a brilliant career in Data, Cyber or technology. It’s a 40-month programme, designed to build a solid foundation across Data, Cyber, Software Engineering and Network Engineering before specialising.

From day one, you’ll make a meaningful difference to live projects across our technology and data teams – gaining hands-on experience and developing professional networks for life. You’ll work with and learn from some of the most talented and dynamic individuals in the industry, sharing ideas and finding creative, intelligent solutions for our business, and most importantly, our customers.

What’s more, you’ll gain your degree as you work, earning a salary and skipping expensive university fees. By the time you’ve graduated, you’ll be a trusted specialist, working as part of a Digital Bank with a human touch.

Where you’ll be working

As the Digital and Technology Solutions apprenticeship includes rotations to different areas of Technology, Cyber and Data so some travel may be involved throughout programme. For your first placement you’ll spend the majority of your time in our Milton Keynes office getting to know Santander and building your networks. After six months, you’ll have the flexibility to work out of the office and at home, spending 40% of your time in the office working with colleagues as a minimum.

What we’re looking for in you

  • A predicted or achieved total of 96 UCAS points (three Cs at A level/T level core pass C) or an equivalent academic or professional qualification
  • STEM related subjects are preferable however evidence of a passion for technology or data outside of education will also be considered as well as subjects such as languages
  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs graded A-C and must include mathematics
  • A genuine interest in technology / data / cyber and a curiosity for the digital world
  • A natural curiosity and a love of developing new skills and relationships
  • The ability to independently identify risks and opportunities, and the confidence to speak up with new ideas and perspectives
