You’ll be working with our Isover brand - a manufacturer of high performance, environmentally sustainable glass mineral wool insulation for thermal, acoustic and fire safe solutions.


Is this role right for me?

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. For this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

Essential

  • High degree of numeracy and analytical skills, using data analysis and statistics to identify plant losses and root cause analysis
  • Excellent personal skills enabling positive relationships to be developed with all key stakeholders
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a continuous process industry preferred, ideally glass industry
  • Degree educated (Chemical/Process Engineering), ideally a Master’s degree

Desirable

  • Relevant process engineer experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of delivering projects to agreed timescales and targeted results
  • Knowledge of Thermal/Mechanical Material Sciences/Fluid dynamics
  • Previous work experience including management of change and use of WCM tools & techniques

What will I be required to do in the role?

The Saint-Gobain group offers construction products is aiming at reducing the Global Warming Potential of the buildings world-wide. However, The Saint-Gobain group has also defined & communicated clear commitments in terms of reduction of its own impact (health & safety, well-being, reduction of CO2 footprint, reduction of impact on non-renewable raw materials through enhanced circularity).

Saint-Gobain Isover makes available an insulation product range (mineral wools) which is at the core of this roadmap. The successful applicant will work on specific strategic projects which are part of the long-term vision of the insulation business. These will deliver significant cost savings and environmental improvements.

These projects will conducted with methodology tools, recommendations, and expertise by central project teams, but practical implementation is managed at country and plant level.

The plant Process and Product Development Engineer will:

  • Contribute to the implementation of business projects through product and process design approach.
  • Oversee following project planning progress, and will contribute to the organization of quality tests, product design steps, validation trials
  • Analyse the results of those trials and define/manage the industrialisation of those new conditions through equipment upgrade, long runs-industrial launch with proper process and quality control plans, KPI’s tracking and plant staff training
