Position Overview & Specifications

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Marketing Manager to join our team on a 9-month maternity leave contract.

Based in our UK office, the successful candidate will be working within a dynamic Marketing Team and will use their project management and digital marketing experience to support the company's strategic goals and objectives.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the company Directors and global Marketing Team to ensure Sail Croatia remains at the forefront of the small ship cruising industry in Croatia.

Offering unparalleled cruising experiences for various travel styles and budgets, Sail Croatia sells cruises ranging from luxury small ship cruising, to active cruises, party cruises and high-end yacht experiences.

A youth based travel brand specialising in epic Greek Island adventures for 18-39’s.

Green Sail

A not-for-profit organisation based in Split, Croatia, that focuses on sustainability and eco-tourism within the nautical industry.

The Marketing Manager position touches on all things marketing, from digital marketing, advertising, SEO and strategy development, to product development, design and content creation.

Whilst our UK Head Office offers a relaxed and flexible work environment, our international Marketing Team is mostly based online, with team members spanning across the UK, Croatia, and Australia. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a global team with additional travel opportunities.

You will be responsible for…

  • Managing the overarching marketing strategy
  • Managing a dynamic and global marketing team, including a Marketing Coordinator, Data Analyst, Video Creators, and NGO Manager
  • Overseeing & maintaining marketing budgets
  • Tracking sales & developing strategy
  • Optimising advertising campaigns in order to increase ROI and sales
  • Managing PR relationships to ensure content, marketing and new product information is communicated & distributed to media effectively
  • Planning and implementing white hat SEO initiatives
  • Planning, researching and creating SEO optimised blog content
  • Managing website content
  • Working with creative teams to develop marketing, advertising and sales content
  • Supporting the Marketing Coordinator with the social media & newsletter strategy
  • Working closely with the marketing team to plan and execute direct marketing plans
  • Coordinating the organisation and briefing of media (journalists, photographers, videographers and social media influencers)
  • Coordinating on ground branding and marketing activations

Our ideal candidate has…

  • Bachelor degree in marketing/communications
  • 2+ years experience in a Managerial marketing role
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High level organisation and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional people skills, with a proven track record of managing people in a global environment
  • A sound understanding of Google Analytics and data-based decision making
  • Experience creating SEO optimised content
  • Exceptional creativity and innovation
  • An understanding of the media landscape & PR
  • Proficiency with Facebook Ads Manager & Google Ads
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • A background in and passion for tourism and/or travel
  • A strong work ethic and innovative approach to all tasks

Salary will be based on relevant experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Salary: From £40,000.00 per year
