Position Overview & Specifications

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Team Member to join our small and collaborative IT Team at the RSPCA as an IT Solutions advisor. If you have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy helping people use technology better this could be the perfect role for you.You'll be acting as a vital point of contact to provide assistance to customers across the whole organisation requiring support, training and coaching using our core Google Workspace tools.

You'll be assisting by providing an internal IT consultancy service as well as training, coaching and customer engagement.

You will be learning about new capabilities of Google workspace ahead of their release and shaping communications to the whole organisation about how to get the best out of them. You will be one of the “Go To” experts helping people understand and adopt updated and new tools.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is confident and curious about helping customers at all levels to utilise existing and new enterprise technologies to the full.

We are pleased to offer flexibility in this role being hybrid. What does that look like for me I hear you ask? ideally we'd like you to be able to work from our Horsham hub office approximately twice a month.

Here's some of the key work that you will be doing...

  • Providing support to internal customers and users around technology adoption and exploitation answering those How do I?, Can I? questions.
  • Organising and hosting IT induction sessions for new starters as well as refreshers and what's new sharing messaging.
  • Ensure calls managed through our new help desk system are actioned appropriately within agreed time limits
  • Provide efficient and customer centric service to the Society's users in line with the IT team values - Professional, Relevant, Aligned, Responsive, Entrusted and Preferred.
  • Develop and document advanced, re-usable configurations and solutions to meet customer requirements and improve their efficiency.
  • Act as a project resource when necessary, particularly where projects have a relationship with core enterprise technologies. Providing specialist skills, insight and experience.
  • Deliver targeted, planned and structured coaching/training. Delivered virtually or in person to individuals or groups. In some cases at Horsham and other sites across England and Wales.

What we are looking for in you...

  • Comprehensive experience using and knowledge of office automation technologies and enterprise communication and collaboration tools, especially Google Workspace.
  • Experience of solving business problems through the application and exploitation of enterprise technologies
  • Experience of assessing, testing and learning new technology solutions to solve problems and meet requirements.
  • Experience of delivering training / coaching sessions or workshops to groups of various sizes
  • Excellent communication skills; explaining technical details to non-technical customers at all levels
  • Ability and willingness to develop software knowledge to an advanced level - this is great team to join for development and progression in the business
  • Ability to undertake occasional travel to regional training locations and undertake overnight stays
