Land Management Advisor
Salary: £29,833.74 per annum. Plus pension contribution of 9% based on a 35-hour week.
We’re looking for a passionate, committed and energetic individual to assist the Senior Land Management Advisor in helping nature recovery at a landscape-scale in Cumbria.
The role will involve developing relationships with the community of farmers, land managers and landowners in Cumbria who wish to practice ‘regenerative’ farming and/or ‘wild’ their land sympathetically for wildlife. This includes supporting and helping farmers move towards participation in the forthcoming Environmental Land Management (due to be introduced in 2024) scheme.
Working as part of Cumbria Wildlife Consulting, the Trust’s Land Management Advice Service, the role will assist in developing and delivering a range of innovative approaches and blended funding mechanisms to achieve the Trust’s vision and the Cumbria Local Nature Recovery Strategy. Some of this activity will be channelled through a new subsidiary Community Interest Company which the Trust will be setting up in due course and will include delivery of a range of work programmes and projects for paying clients across Cumbria.
