Job Title: Senior UX Designer
Contract Type: Permanent

This is a genuinely exciting time to join the Digital Design Team in Royal London as we accelerate our customer experience transformation and reimagine our digital services.

As a Senior UX Designer you will join a strong team within our UK Customer business with likeminded colleagues passionate about providing exceptional experiences and helping ensure our customers get the best possible outcomes.

The role involves utilising a diverse skillset to bridge the gap between the customer, the product teams, and key stakeholders to ensure Royal London services offer the best possible experience.

About the role

Works collaboratively with product teams to help shape inclusive customer experiences and design and optimise unified customer journeys across channels and touchpoints
Collaborate with designers and key stakeholders to design research strategies to study target users and inform product design processes
Establish baseline experiences to monitor effects of design changes, support evaluation of user responses to changes implemented and ensure optimal performance of solutions
UX Strategy – Ensure product purposes and business goals and objectives are clearly understood, defined and business stakeholder measurement of success is documented to enable the design of user-focused products that fit the company strategy and brand identity
Work with wider design team and cross functional product teams to facilitate the design and delivery of consistent components, interaction and behavioural patterns across digital products and services building user trust and providing harmonious uniformity across UI elements
Support the delivery and adoption of Royal London’s Design System with the goal of maintaining a design framework that provides a common design and development approach across all digital touchpoints Enforces standards within product delivery teams relating to inclusive design, design system standards, accessibility and compatibility with modern browsers and devices

About you

Extensive understanding of usability, research methodologies, information architecture and complex interaction design
Expert in responsive and adaptive web design with mobile first thinking
Excellent understanding of user-centred design
Excellent understanding of inclusive design and accessibility as an outcome
Comfortable with being vocal and using insight to challenge decisions
