lab technician

Join us as a part time Science Technician and you'll be joining a friendly, professional team of Lab Techs and Teachers across Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Combined Science in a well-equipped department.

We are looking for a self-motivated, organised individual with an eagerness to learn new skills and work as a team. This post is is for two or three days a week during term time.

Key duties will include:

• Making solutions to appropriate concentrations and preparing chemicals, apparatus and equipment;
  
• Ordering chemicals, equipment, books, journals and other supplies;
  
• Maintaining a list of practical activities and associated risk assessments; and
  
• General duty of care for the prep room and teaching laboratories.
