Role Outline
We are seeking an experienced multi-skilled, mechanically biased Building Services Technician, with a strong mechanical maintenance background to support this historic and iconic building.
On a day-to-day basis, you will carry out daily plant room checks whilst helping to maintain the Hall’s electrical services and support the maintenance of mechanical plant services. As part of the team, you will ensure they comply with safety regulations and are fit for use. Furthermore, you will check that all domestic services to the Hall (including the use of equipment and systems with water, electrics and gas) are in a good working order and that repairs or improvements are undertaken promptly to ensure uninterrupted services to our staff and customers.
Candidates must have a proven working knowledge of plant and domestic service systems and will have completed an appropriate apprenticeship with City and Guilds or similar and have other relevant qualifications. Candidates will be confident in reacting to Building Services M & E systems requirements which are generated from our helpdesk facility. We are looking for a credible and technically competent individual who can instil confidence in others, remain calm under pressure and fulfil the service delivery requirements of this fast-paced venue.
You will be working on a roster basis which will include day shifts, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays and therefore you will need to ensure you have access to transport to cover each of these shift patterns.
