We are currently looking for suitable candidates to join us in the desk based role of 1st/2nd Line Desktop IT Support Technician.

Following our successful acquisition of EQ Systems, and our ongoing expansion plans, the opportunity presents itself to join us on this exciting journey.

The position is varied as you will work with many clients operating in different areas of commerce and industry ranging from fashion companies to financial advisers. The role will involve a mixture of telephone and ticket system based remote support from our office.

You must be able to demonstrate your ability to take ownership of issues and see them through to successful resolution in the most efficient and effective way for the client, utilising our internal team support infrastructures as appropriate.

You will have skills in the following areas:

Microsoft 365 and its offerings such as Exchange, SharePoint, Azure AD and Endpoint Manager. You will be required to configure and maintain Microsoft 365 Tenants.

Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, etc).

Setting up and troubleshooting a wide range of printers. You can expect to see this range from a scan to email setup to an end user not being able print.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting IT issues. For example, in Exchange troubleshooting mail flow, configuration, and client issues.

You will be familiar with tools used to diagnose IT issues. For example, you will know how to utilise Event Viewer and Message Trace.

You will be familiar with Windows servers and understand the roles they can perform such Active Directory, Group Policy, Storage and File Sharing, DHCP and DNS.

You will be proficient in installations and setup of Windows 10/11, iPhones/iPads and Android devices.

You will have a good understanding of networking, this includes the topologies, subnetting, DNS and DHCP.

You will be able to configure networking equipment such as routers, switches, access points etc.

You will install and configuring appropriate software for end users.

Cyber security awareness is a must, and you will develop knowledge of antivirus protections and patch management.

Clear and concise documentation is important and will need to be carried out as part of your duties.

Additionally, experience in cyber security, remote backup solutions (Skykick/Acronis), IP telephony (3CX), Ahsay, Plesk, Unifi System will develop.

You will possess an outstanding work ethic, desire to learn and dedicated focus of developing a ling term career with us as we move forward and continue to grow.

This is an office based role! No remote working options are available.

Salary: £23,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
