The role

• Operating our laminators to laminate large format digital prints
• Operating our mount machines to mount self-adhesive digital prints to substrates
• Trimming out print
• Highlighting any issues with the quality of the print and/or discrepancies between the print and the brief to the relevant department
• Checking off completed jobs against the brief to ensure that all elements of the job are complete and have been finished as per the specification
• Packing completed jobs and ensuring they are clearly and correctly labelled
• Maintaining stock levels of materials
• A willingness to help out with other areas of the company when required, and on rare occasions make deliveries and possibly attend on-site installs and/or derigs

As this role will involve communicating directly with other departments within RHM, good communication skills and fluency in English are paramount. Over time, you will be expected to develop an understanding and knowledge of the materials, substrates and processes we use. The nature of the business means that there will be times where we are working to short deadlines and at little notice, so we require a candidate who is able to be flexible and sometimes work outside our usual office hours of 9am to 5:30pm.

About you

While we would welcome applications from anyone who has previous experience in print finishing, this is far from a prerequisite as full training would be provided to anyone who hasn’t previously worked in a similar role. What we are looking for is a quick learner with buckets of enthusiasm, someone who’s able to quickly adapt to our processes and methods. In addition to this, you will be a stickler for detail, able to work with minimal supervision and be someone who can keep a cool head under pressure whilst prioritising projects with varying degrees of importance. Any interest in the print and/or events industry would also be beneficial.

As we are a close-knit company with less than a dozen full-time employees, we put an extra emphasis on picking the right person for the role rather than simply choosing the strongest CV. We do therefore welcome applications from candidates whose background might not be from within the print industry, but who can demonstrate an appetite to carve out a career with us and who we feel would be a positive fit for the company. We are very much looking for someone who could be a part of RHM for the longer term and can grow with us.

About us

We have been producing graphics for events worldwide for over 50 years. Based in Barnet, North London, we count a number of significant names from within the events industry as our clients. The projects we work on range in scale from straightforward vinyl prints and pull-up banners all the way through to delivering graphics for entire global events.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
