Protirus’s Consulting Services provide Service Design, Program Management, Deployment & Integration and Operational Optimisation services to customers, carrying out projects from start to finish.

Additionally, our Development arm is a crucial contributing element to the Consulting Services allowing Protirus to provide custom solutions to customer requirements, subsequently delivering cutting edge and comprehensive projects to our customers.

Job Description

You will be working as part of an experienced consulting team, responsible for providing custom solutions to customer problems that can often impact the direction, pace or viability of a security program. This involves working in an environment in which you will be required to interpret business requirements and translate those into technical low-level solutions, following best practices processes and practices.

You will be responsible for configuration, automation and integrations for security vendors’ products, and you will have the ability to review, design, test and debug complex problems.

This is a 6 month fixed term hybrid employment role of 40 hours a week. There is a requirement to be onsite in Cheshire 2 days a week or 1 week a month.

Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Required

  • Experience of Network Operational Support within a large institution or bank
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network related issues
  • Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels and to work in pressurised situations
  • At least one of the following Solid skills
  • Solid working knowledge of DNS / DHCP using Infoblox products
  • Solid working knowledge of Bluecoat Proxy related products, including integration with external services
  • Good understanding and experience of F5 load-balancing platforms, including integration with external services
  • Good working knowledge of TCP, SSL and be able to fault find using tcpdump, Wireshark, log trace and live debug
  • General understanding of LAN and WAN technologies / protocols (Cisco ACI, NX-OS, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF)
  • Previously worked in a technical IT role as an engineer, consultant or architect
  • Comfortable with learning new technologies and adapting to new methodology
  • Ability to problem solve through methodical analysis and propose appropriate solutions
  • Excellent customer manner
  • Track record of successfully delivering against projects and services of significant complexity and / or scale
  • Ability to gather, translate and then deliver on complex business requirements
  • Superb written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Ability to prioritise workload under pressure, handle technical escalations
  • Work independently or as part of a larger team
  • Ability to assimilate, analyse and act appropriately against large quantities of information.
