Pet Shop Assistant

About Us:

Podgy Paws is a very busy pet accessories store based in Keswick. Good quality dog accessories and diet is our main focus and we pride ourselves on our USP of excellent customer service. The shop is very busy and the days are full on with ordering, processing deliveries, merchandising and looking after our customers.

We are looking to recruit a full or part time member of staff to join our growing team. Working either 4 or 5 days per week with some weekend work, rotas are prepared a month in advance. We are a close team and enjoy occasional out of work team building experiences.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will need to have the following -

• Energetic, motivated and have good attention for detail.
• A keen interest in animals, particularly dogs. A good knowledge of dog related products and animal diet would be an advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly outgoing manner.
• Physically fit as the job involves a certain amount of lifting as well as kneeling to fit dog coats and harnesses.
• A team player who can communicate well and resolve difficulties in a professional manner.
• Be commercially aware and have a proactive approach.
