Location: Vauxhall, London

Salary range: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are looking for a reliable Assistant Site Manager who is flexible and willing to roll their sleeves up.

Regardless of your experience, if you are a well-seasoned Assistant Site Manager or an aspiring one, please apply because to us attitude and talent are more important than skills - which we can teach.

The ideal candidate is flexible, passionate about their development and keen to grow, with some people supervision or small team management experience. Transferable skills are important to us, and you must have strong decision-making skills to be able to act decisively and effectively when challenges arise and be comfortable thinking on your feet.


Main Objectives of the Assistant Site Manager role:

  • Overseeing, monitoring and managing the progress of the construction project
  • Supervising the work and ensuring that workers are motivated and focused
  • Ensuring the safety of the site by making safety inspections and enforcing safety guidelines and protocols
  • Maintaining quality control checks whilst dealing with the day-to-day problem-solving for any issues that arise
  • Preparing, coordinating, and writing site reports and other necessary documents
  • Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to internal and external stakeholders

Must-haves and skills required:

  • Good problem-solving skills to allow you to deal with complaints and challenges in a calm and professional manner
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines, change priorities and work effectively as part of a team
  • Clean, full UK driving licence
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word, PowerPoint & Excel, generally IT minded
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Customer-focused mindset

Desired qualifications:

  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme [SMSTS] or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme [SSSTS]
  • First Aid at Work
  • CSCS card
  • Experience in the social housing sector
  • Asbestos Awareness Training
  • Health & Safety Awareness
