3D Printing Technician

Photocentric Ltd based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and US is an award-winning manufacturer of 3D printers and resins. With our uniquely different attitude to manufacturing photopolymer and 3D printing, our innovative company is rapidly growing and as a result we are now on the search for a 3D Printing Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities of our 3D Printing Technician include:

• Learn the full cycle of our we buid and use our 3D printers (training will be given)
• Assist with R&D projects
• Work autonomously to research new technologies in the sense of open innovation, and general products improvements
• Coordinating and defining R&D tests
• Develop a deep understanding of how printers, print process algorithms and materials work together
• Investigate to improve print quality, print speed, and reliability
• Assist with experiments, tests, and data analysis
• 3D printer maintenance and machine operations
• Perform hardware modifications to the printer/setup to accommodate the process of running experiments (training will be given)

Experience and skills required for our 3D Printing Technician:

• Genuine interest in 3D Printing
• Experience in either using 3D printers, and/or familiar with CNC, injection molding, laser cutting
• Ability to understand technical products and properties
• Can write and produce reports/feedback.
• Have experience with design and data analysis
• Have a curious and creative mind
• CAD knowledge would be an advantage
• Some engineering or general technical experience preferred
