Position Overview & Specifications

Role Purpose
Demonstrate compelling Value Propositions for investing in Pfizer medicines to payers and clinicians – Clinical and Health Economic expert.
The CEC role will:
  • Demonstrate exceptional environmental, clinical and health outcomes knowledge, to accelerate opportunities to drive growth and deliver value to the NHS and patients.
  • Optimize patient access and growth for our prioritized brands by demonstrating the value of our medicines to NHS organizations and patients.
  • Demonstrate consistently outstanding face-to-face and virtual customer engagement skills, driving growth and delivering value to customers through customer focused brand and disease area solutions.
  • Collaborate and lead with customers to support them to achieve their own local delivery plans through expert health economic and clinical insights.
  • Make a strong contribution to the development & delivery of gold standard, aspirational Local Health Economy (LHE) business plans.
  • Support LHE teams to understand relevant local context in order to inform impactful, valuable customer interactions.
Responsibilities
Environmental, Clinical and Health Outcomes knowledge:
  • Demonstrate thorough and current insight into customer environmental drivers/metrics and their practical application.
  • Work with customers, using most relevant channels to develop bespoke solutions that meet shared goals through expert health economic and clinical knowledge and insights in line with the Regional and National Operating Plan.
  • Demonstrate and apply in depth clinical knowledge of Pfizer therapy areas, products and competitors and support upskilling of regional field colleagues.
  • Maintain up to date expertise in relevant health economics/outcomes research activities.
Demonstrating the Value of our medicines:
  • Provide insights to inform the development of value propositions based on clinical and health economics expertise, tailored to local needs.
  • Deliver value propositions to prioritized customers to achieve LHE priority account plan objectives.
  • Develop & manage customer relationships to facilitate the implementation of effective programmes and solutions which meet a shared agenda and maximize appropriate use of our medicines within guidelines and pathways.
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with local LHE team and other One Pfizer colleagues to share information, motivate and support team members to ensure impactful, valuable customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with other BUs, Departments and Functions to develop customer value propositions that drive growth and deliver value to patients and the NHS.
Business planning:
  • Work with Accounts and Sales teams within a Local Health Economy to identify and assess opportunities and threats to maximize growth.
  • Provide strategic input into the priority account plans through additional customer insight and data analysis.
  • Ensure all Pfizer resources (e.g. functions, channels / digital) are used wherever appropriate.
  • Responsibility as part of the local leadership team for implementation of the priority account plans.
Key Skills Required
  • Technical skills: Clinical effectiveness and health economics knowledge and its application to outcomes-based evidence.
  • Understanding the NHS environment
  • Medicine Optimization or Pharmacist experience would be desirable

  • ABPI exam qualified within 2 years of joining the industry and fully conversant with requirements of the ABPI Code of Practice.
