Petrofac is looking to recruit a Welder to join our team at Kintore, Aberdeenshire with Sub Arc experience.
JOB TITLE: WELDER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General welding as per instructions on allocated WPS, route cards & drawings, signing off completed stages on route sheets.
- Visual checks on completed operations.
- Completing all company job related QA documents clearly to compile welding records.
- Care of tools, machinery & associated equipment.
- Informing QC Inspection or Line Management of any non-conformance.
- To be courteous and professional in liaising with customer and certifying authority representatives.
- Good housekeeping within work area.
- Adhere to the company’s Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties required within job role safely adhering to task risk assessments and SWM.
- Participate in company Lean Management and 5S principles.
- Other duties for which the company deems are within your capabilities.
- Methodical in approach to assigned work is essential.
- Understanding of in-house Quality procedures relevant to position.
- Capable of working on own initiative.
- Responsible for producing quality work on time.
- Ability to follow instructions and cooperate accordingly.
- Ability to work well on their own as well as part of a team.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Time served apprenticeship preferred but not essential.
- ASME IX standard qualifications on either or all company required welding processes.
- SMAW – GTAW – AUTO GTAW – SAW – GMAW.
- GTAW & SAW process essential for upcoming scope.
- Previous Oil & Gas industry experience.
- Previous experience using required welding processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
