• Basic Salary £30 - £40,000 – Dependent on experience
• Bonus structure OTE £42,000

Our Client, an independent garage based in Uckfield, East Sussex area are currently looking to hire a Vehicle Technician to join their team.

Our Clients site has been established since the roaring 1920s, and have been a Jaguar & Land Rover specialist for over the last 30 years. They are a family run garage, renown for providing a fantastic service for customers, and a fantastic working environment for employees, with Free Lunch Friday being a delicious benefit!

They work on a range of models of Jaguars, Landrovers & Range Rovers, from the modern day back to their roots from the 1940s! They operate with modern workshop equipment, JLR Diagnostics to Main Dealer standards, and follow all JLR service schedules. They have a fantastic online presence & online store, with customers travelling from various parts of the UK (and even some internationally!) to experience the high level traditional values of providing an excellent customer service & being experts in their field.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client

• Full automotive services and necessary repairs in accordance with company standards
• Carrying out Diagnostics & Fault finding
• Routine Servicing & Repairs on all JLR products
• Maintain a good level of efficiency without compromising quality
• Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in a timely manner
• Carrying out Vehicle Health Checks and liaise with service department your findings.
• Accurate use of the in-house DMS (Evolution and Tech Mate)

What our Client expects of their Vehicle Technicians

• Previous Automotive Repair Experience
• NVQ Level 3 Qualified or Equivalent, or time-served
• Ideally 5 years uninterrupted service in a similar role.
• Able to work unsupervised in a well-equipped workshop as well as be a Team Player and assist colleagues as and when necessary.
• Great communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to both colleagues and customers on occasion.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Land Rover experience preferred but not essential.
