With comprehensive training, you will become expert in all aspects of hazardous waste management, capable of employing these skills to provide specialist advice in this important field.

Pegasus Waste Management was established 26 years ago, based in the Bristol area providing specialist services in the field of hazardous waste, providing expert services to aerospace, education, defence and FMCG customers.

Due to increased demand from our existing customers and to assist with new enquiries, we are looking for an additional UK graduate with a strong Chemistry background to join our team based in the Bristol area.

The role involves a mixture of on-site/outdoor and office-based work, and there will be a requirement to travel and stay away within the UK on occasion. Our current projects are UK-based, but there are likely to be requirements in future to travel overseas where the infrastructure for disposal of hazardous waste is not as developed as the UK.

The day-to-day life of our Operations Chemists is varied, challenging and rewarding. Previous experience of Hazardous Waste is not required but the following attributes are essential:

· Enthusiastic and energetic.

· Willing to learn.

· Resourceful, adaptable, and resilient.

The successful candidate will benefit from :

· Comprehensive training both in-house and by external specialist providers

· Ongoing training in related fields including Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.

· Recent graduates in Chemistry or related sciences, looking to start their career.

· Those with Chemistry experience in other fields, looking for a fresh challenge.

· Those with experience within the Hazardous and Chemical Waste Management industry, looking for a varied role in a dynamic company.

To be considered, you must have the following:

· UK University degree (BSc or equivalent) in Chemistry or Life/Earth Sciences, or in another Science-based subject would be considered, but you must have a strong pass in Chemistry at A-Level.

· A full clean UK driving licence.

· The ability to be employed in the UK.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

· Good interpersonal skills combined with an understanding of customer needs.

· Teamwork and working alongside others.

· Problem solving capabilities.

· Good practical skills.
