Paramedic

We have an exciting opportunity available for a qualified and enthusiastic Paramedic to join our busy team, to work alongside our current full-time Paramedic Practitioner. Suitable applicants would be looking to work in a busy surgery, liaising closely with the duty doctor and lead Paramedic to provide home visits and unscheduled care for both acute and chronic presentations.

We are ideally looking for someone who can work 2-5 days per week. However, any hours will be considered, with potential for flexible shifts; i.e. varied day of the week to fit in with other shifts (with the Ambulance Service, for example). We would be keen to hear from applicants who want to develop their role to become an advanced practitioner.

We are a GMS Practice with a list size of over 12,000 and we offer a range of enhanced services to our patients. We are also high QOF achievers.

We have 7 Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 3 ACPs, 1 Paramedic Practitioner, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs and a Phlebotomist, who are supported by helpful and professional management and administration teams. We are also a training practice and currently have a GP Registrar working with us. The whole Practice team is committed to providing quality patient care and received a rating of "GOOD" at our last CQC inspection.

The role will include undertaking home visits, care planning provision for patients who are elderly or at risk of unplanned hospital admission, and potentially minor ailment clinics. There will also be involvement in management of frail and end of life patients who typically require more intensive multidisciplinary input, often in their own home or care home setting.
