Position Overview & Specifications

Child / Young Person Support Worker

This role will be working with children and young people, on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, to ensure their safety and care. You will have strong attention to detail and be confident in writing detailed notes about your observations of the young person's emotions, interactions and learning journey and with their daily routines.

You will be required to take part in activities with the young person and encourage them to become independent, to follow a routine and focus on their learning.

Ideally, previous experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviour or a range of mental health issues and disabilities would be advantageous, but we appreciate that everyone has to start somewhere, so full training will be provided.
