KS1 Teaching Assistant | Autism & Complex

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge who has supported young people with Autism before?

Are you passionate about helping young people with special needs? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant at an outstanding special needs Primary school in Hounslow, London Borough of Hounslow.

About the role:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Full time and long term
  • Potential to turn in to a permanent contract for the right person.
  • Pay up to £90 per day.
  • Supporting pupils with Autism and Complex Needs.
  • You will be required to support small groups 8 as well as offer one-to-one intervention when necessary
  • You may need to work in conjunction with outside professionals such as physiotherapists, speech & language therapists, educational psychologists and others in implementing tailored plans for each pupil
  • You must have previous experience supporting young people with Autism / ASC
  • You will need to be resilient, patient and adaptable to a dynamic and changing environment
  • They expect all staff to contribute and promote a fun, caring, relaxed and safe environment for staff and pupils
  • Ideally you will have 3-6 months prior experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Have an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or apply for a new one)
  • 2 references
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
