About the Role

We are looking to recruit someone to join our Cartography & Data Enhancement team as a Data Quality Analyst.

This role involves analysis of geographic and topographic mapping data. You will help us to collect, edit, and maintain the most accurate and up-to-date geographical information of Great Britain. Initially you will be working with either topographic data or network data although there are many other production activities within the Cartography & Data Enhancement team which you may get involved with. The role involves regular investigation and ‘hands on’ manipulation of geospatial data. Additional tasks may become available that look to enhance, update attribution to improve OS data.

All training will be provided to help you develop in the role. This is a desktop PC based activity. Training for the role will take place in person at Ordnance Survey head office in Southampton where we would expect you to attend in person for training and consolidation learning lasting up to 6 months, after which, options for working from home can be discussed with line management.

Location

We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire, where training for the role will take place in person. We would expect you to attend in person for training and consolidation learning lasting up to 6 months, after which, options for working from home can be discussed with line management.

Security

OS conducts DBS background checks for all joiners and some of our roles require additional security clearance, including to SC or DV level in some cases. We will tell candidates at the appropriate time during the recruitment process if additional clearance will be required for this role.
