When you come in to work…


We are looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to take responsibility for our main trading entity, and ensuring records are maintained with a high degree of accuracy.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, who is looking for the next step in their career with a fast pace continuously evolving business. A friendly, outgoing, problem solver, and great team player that is dedicated to business will flourish within this hard-working team. You’ll be part of our Finance team, working alongside another Assistant Management Accountant, with the support of two Finance Assistants.


Our ideal candidate would be someone who...

  • Is minimum Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc)
  • Advanced Excel User (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Sumif and IF Statements)
  • Experience required in a similar role for a company with significant stock
  • Is able to interpret financial data into meaningful commercial information for the business

It would be a real advantage if you also have…

  • Experience using Microsoft Business Central
  • Experience preparing and Submitting VAT Returns
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Platform
  • Experience using Xero

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the accounts payable process and the finance assistant’s responsible for accounts payable
  • Expanding the scope of the accounts payable automation tool
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and other month-end close activities including but not limited to accruals and prepayments
  • Assisting with the 3rd party VAT/Sales Tax filings
  • Liaising across the business to ensure accuracy of P&L line item values
  • Providing information and insight to forecasting and budgeting
  • Assist with requests pertaining to the financial audit
  • Partnering with the wider business to ensure continuous development and efficiencies are achieved in line with the company values and goals

There will also be opportunity to:

  • Be involved in future budgeting/forecasting requirements
  • Help build out and shape our new ERP/Finance systems
  • Coach new members of the team and share knowledge with your colleagues to support continued learning
