A superb opportunity is now available within a City based Insurer. The business is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Partner who will be responsible for all UK hiring. The role will work in partnership with the HRD and Head of Talent for recruitment strategy and will also manage one, potentially two recruitment specialists.

This specific role will recruit across the business for all corporate/head office/operations roles. This is a 360 degree role requiring the successful candidate to be able to work closely with the business on their hiring needs, source candidates via the most time effective routes, build talent pipelines, offer management and aftercare throughout the onboarding process. The role will be mixture of strategy vs operations and will require the successful candidate to be able to work top to bottom.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Financial Services or indeed Insurance background. They will have extensive recruitment experience within either an in-house or RPO environment and will have previous management exposure.

  • Ownership of the TA relationship and working closely with Group HR Director
  • Setting TA strategy, ensuring that this reflects the business & HR strategy and linking in with regional and global TA strategies and approach
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to advise on the best approach for recruitment, utilising both direct and indirect sourcing methods, leading interviews and influencing decisions to ensure an inclusive hiring process
  • Sourcing, screening and assessing competence of candidates, working with line managers and HR to offer an efficient service
  • Leading the end to end recruitment process including sourcing candidates (entry to Executive level)
  • Pipeline building for key roles across the business, seeking out diverse channels of recruitment
  • Helping to the position the company as an Employer of Choice through a seamless candidate experience
  • Seeking feedback on a regular basis from stakeholders and suggesting and implementing key process improvements
  • Undertaking data analysis i.e. attrition, trends, business and people strategy to provide insights and feedback to senior stakeholders
  • Responsibility for managing 1 regional TA specialist and indirect line management for another regional TA specialist
  • Working on several initiatives / projects across the business
  • Identifying and promoting ways to share TA message internally across sites
  • Partnering with TA & Talent Management & Development colleagues within the regional team on key regional initiatives
  • Regional/global project team attendance i.e. weekly regional TA team meetings
  • Travel to sites i.e. Manchester, Birmingham

Requirements:

  • Previous inhouse recruitment experience either directly or from an RPO within consulting, finance, tech or pharmaceuticals environment
  • Experience of working in a highly matrixed environment
  • Learning mindset (enthusiastic with a passion for learning)
  • Experience of delivering/facilitating virtually (via MS Teams, MIRO etc)
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills
  • Excellent client management and relationship building skills
  • Effective communicator and influencer at all levels
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Good mathematical/analytical ability
  • Passion for working in TA and wider HR
  • Experience of team management
