We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Group Financial Controller.

The role of the Assistant Group Financial Controller is rudimentary and requires excellent knowledge and communication skills to ensure a smooth operation.

You will support, and report to our Group Financial Controller.

The Company is on a growth trajectory, and we are looking for candidates who align with our purpose, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and want to make an impact on pharmaceutical research. You will join a friendly, dynamic, and committed international team to deliver consistent results to tight deadlines.

Candidate Duties

Duties:

  • Managing day to day banking processes and transactions, including monthly pay run
  • Assisting with cash management , including cashflow forecast
  • Monthly balance sheet, P & L and Trial Balance reconciliation
  • Reconciling accounts with different external stakeholders (credit facilities, HMRC PAYE /NI, suppliers and customers)
  • Assisting to monitor budget and KPI
  • Help with any ad hoc reporting required by Management
  • Assisting to prepare year end accounts and audit
  • Assisting R & D tax credit and other grants reporting
  • Assisting board packs preparation
  • Help with Statutory Compliance Globally
  • Supporting Group Financial Controller during month end and assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management reports
  • Collaborating with Finance Team in India

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified/Part Qualified as an Accountant
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Banking Experience
  • Payroll calculation experience
  • 2+ years of experience in similar role
  • Month end closing Experience
  • SME experience (preferred)
  • An eye for detail
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Successful completion of a test to assess competencies
