Manufacturing Engineer

Norbar Torque Tools Ltd., the world leading Torque Tool manufacturer, have a vacancy to join our dynamic and free thinking Engineering team.

We need your help in supporting our production departments, as part of the Product Support Engineering Group, where you will be responsible for maintaining, refurbishing, and designing jigs/fixtures/tooling to further enhance our internal processes, along with supporting other engineering elements within the group.

Responsible to the Engineering Manager, your duties will include:

· Design and detailing of tooling using 3D CAD system whilst adhering to H&S procedures and practices

· Creation and Maintenance of Business System data i.e. Bill of Materials

· Product Testing and Report Writing

· Performing Engineering Change tasks using PLM system (Siemens Team Center)

· Supporting Design Engineering Teams with new product implementation

Ideally you will be:

· A time served apprentice in a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline, with HNC or equivalent qualification.

· Experienced in using 3D CAD Systems (Siemens NX preferred but not essential)

· Experienced in tooling design, with an appreciation of hydraulic and pneumatic control

In return for a 38½ week, we can offer a starting salary in range £42,000 to £47,000

depending on experience.
