Salaried GP or Partner Vacancy (4 to 9 sessions)

Come to the beautiful North East coast of Scotland with its big skies and sandy beaches and join our friendly team at Peterhead Health Centre. The busy fishing port of Peterhead is within easy reach of Aberdeen and is surrounded by the stunning scenery of Aberdeenshire.

We are a large, high-earning, training practice with over twenty two thousand patients and we pride ourselves on pro-actively managing change in General Practice whilst providing an excellent service to our patients and actively supporting each other to develop our own clinical interests.

You will be part of our 11 GP team and your days will be varied and stimulating, with involvement in training medical students and GPs of the future.

You will take part in our day-time on-call rota which includes providing support for the highly trained staff at the Minor Injury Unit based in the Community Hospital adjacent to the Health Centre.

You will look after patients admitted to the GP ward there. You will have the opportunity to take part in our rota providing general medical services for the local prison where we work closely with teams of specialist nurses.

At the Practice you will receive excellent support from our skilled administrative and clinical teams including our highly valued ANP team whose many skills include providing most of our home visit and Nursing Home services.

You will also benefit from access to the wider team at the Health Centre including Pharmacotherapy, Physiotherapy including First Contact Team, Health Visitors, Podiatry, a visiting Benefits Advisor, as well as Maternity services based in the Community Hospital.

There is no practice out of hours commitment but shifts are available to book if required.
