NEWBURN HC LLP

PARAMEDIC PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIANS ASSOCIATE

VARIOUS HOURS AVAILABLE

Newburn deliver clinical care to circa 30,000 patients with a population demographic covering Aberdeen city centre, Northfield and a significant population of Aberdeen University students at our Old Aberdeen site. This allows for an interesting and varied clinical workload.

We are an innovative practice; passionate about supporting our staff to develop and progress with their careers and be the best they can be. We are also passionate about trying new approaches to deliver Primary Care and have a diverse consulting team comprising GPs, ANPs, NPs and a Pharmacy Team. We are also a teaching and GP training Practice with FY2s and GPSTs regularly rotating through the Practice.

We are looking for Paramedic Practitioner’s/PA’s who are experienced Clinicians, acting within their professional boundaries, and will provide care for the presenting patient from the initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the General Practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the General Practice team to meet the needs of the patient.

Further roles which the successful candidate will be involved in are triage and telephone consultation and a GP supported home visiting role. We appreciate that candidates may not yet be skilled in these areas, therefore we have a structured induction and training program, tailored to support and develop our staff. We have practice ethos based on investing and valuing our staff and helping them to grow to their full potential, so they are able to work at the top of their license.

Applicants should be proactive, effective communicators, be adaptable to change and possess drive and ambition to progress their career with willingness to work at the top of their licence. Previous experience of autonomous working in and or out of hours is essential and ideally within a Primary Care Setting.

Key Requirements and Job Details:
