Maintenance Craft Assistant

A vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Craft Assistant. Reporting to the Estates Engineering Supervisor, the Maintenance Craft Assistant will be part of the Facilities & Infrastructure Directorate’s multi skilled team working within the Estates Services Department.

The post holder will assist in providing a day-to-day planned and reactive semi-skilled maintenance service and assistance to craft persons within the NHS Forth Valley Estates Services Department. The main challenges for this department are to meet the demands of a modern healthcare service while providing an effective and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

This vacancy forms part of a three-person rota that provides cover seven days a week to NHS Forth Valley Estates. The post requires the successful applicant to work four 9.5 hour shifts (07:45 to 17:45 with 0.5 hr lunch) in every seven day period. The rota requires the successful applicant to work one weekend in every three and on public holidays if it is their rota day(s) on. Currently based at our Falkirk Community Hospital site with work out in the remaining NHS Forth Valley properties as and when required
