Warehouse / Forklift Operator.

Newrest is looking for a Forklift Driver to work its busy Warehouse to support its development in London Gatwick.

Warehouse Operatives work in a team, work well under pressure and in new environments on a daily basis. To provide excellent standards of service at all times to maximise client’s enjoyment of products and to ensure the site and its assets are safe and secure at all times.

CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent, Starting as soon as possible.

LOCATION: Unit 3, Sterling Business Park, Crawley

SALARY: £13.14 per hour.

ADDITIONAL HOURS: Flat Rate. Double pay on bank holidays.

PARKING: Parking on site

Roles and Responsibilities

• To check all products when receiving delivery for quality, quantity, date and temperature.
• Ensuring it is put into the correct warehouse or departmental location.
• Ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Stock is rotated to get maximum shelf life both in the warehouse and in the unit.
• Ensuring COSHH and HACCP are adhered to at all times.
• Ensuring unit compliance with Food safety regulations- paperwork, FIFO, stock rotation, stock labelling.
• Adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
• Liaising with operations and purchasing department queries.
• Conduct stock counts as requested per Counts schedule.
• Ensuring tidiness and high standards of the warehouse, freezer and fridges.
• Ensuring CAA compliance, seals and other security stock control and management.

Skills and Knowledge

• Fork lift driving license essential.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in catering (desirable).
• Excellent communication skills, delivery.
• Good level of numeracy and literacy.

• Customer service focus.
• Good team work skills.
• Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, DDA, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and DFT requirements. (role specific)
• Self-motivation, commitment and enthusiasm and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
