Position Summary
Here at Nestlé Purina, one of the world’s leading pet care companies, we have a fantastic opportunity for a focused individual to join the team as a Finance Analyst.
A day in the life of…
This opportunity will provide timely and accurate financial information to the Purina commercial teams, and closely support the Regional Supply Chain Co-Pilot. Reporting to the UK Business Controller, the key responsibilities will include:
  • RIG/OG Reporting - timely and accurate delivery of RIG/OG actual & forecast reporting for the UK, working closely with the UK&I Leadership and Commercial teams.
  • Preparation and communication of the overall reporting for the Northern Region (actuals and forecast) communicating all variances to targets and previous forecast.
  • Commercial Reporting Packs - creation of monthly UK & Ireland latest forecast reporting packs for commercial teams.
  • Providing a monthly Purina Group (Core Business, IVC, Zooplus, Tails.com, Lily's Kitchen) financial summary with commentary to the Northern Region finance director to present in the senior leadership team MORs.
  • Manage the Trade Expenses budget, developing co-piloting skills and ensuring that the actuals and forecast process is accurately managed.
  • Distribution PEC & DF execution – management of the distribution period end close process and the monthly dynamic forecast process. Supporting the Regional Supply Chain Co-Pilot and meeting all reporting requirements.
  • Financial Analysis –adhoc support and analysis to the UK&I Finance Analyst and Business Controller
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate you will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who has the initiative to gain insight to pro-actively manage challenging and varied responsibilities. Good communication skills are important to enable financial information to be understood across the team. A strong team player is essential as well as;
  • Being part-qualified in CIMA (or equivalent) or have a desire to gain full qualification
  • Strong numerical and planning competencies with a high level of attention to detail
  • Having excellent systems knowledge including advanced Excel functionality (look ups & pivot tables) and ideally possessing SAP experience
