Position Overview & Specifications

Role Overview

We are looking for a strong Content Writer to join our creative team at Nest for six months. The role is based in London on a hybrid model (you will need to attend an office in London 2 times a week). As a Content Writer, you’ll be tasked with translating complex topics into easy-to-understand and engaging content for our member, employer and investment audiences. You’ll have the opportunity to work on campaigns with multiple communication channels including the web and social media.

You’ll be collaborating with our marketing, research and customer insight teams across Nest to develop innovative content ideas for campaigns and supporting the creative team in realising those ideas. You'll be expected to pitch in and take a hands-on approach, producing your own high-quality and engaging content. You’ll be able to understand and identify customers' needs and research industry-related topics where appropriate. You will be asked to write, edit and proofread copy working within our tone of voice and brand guidelines. You’ll need a good eye for detail.

Directorate/Department Overview

The Marketing Content and Creative Services team is a high-performance team and forms part of the Customer Engagement directorate.

The directorate brings together teams that are responsible for setting the strategy and defining Nest’s proposition for different customer segments. Our mandate includes delivering product and service changes that improve our customers’ experience, and designing and delivering a targeted customer engagement approach, marketing campaigns and activity to support Nest’s objectives.

In addition, the Marketing and Creative Services team provides marketing and communications collateral for the rest of the organisation including investment, secretariat, strategy, finance, legal, insight, employer and corporate communications.

The team are also responsible for the management, improvement and deployment of the Nest brand as well as the production of marketing assets and operational communications in print and digital.

The role of the content writer is to support the writing function at Nest with special focus on digital copywriting, namely creating content for webpages, emails, video, storyboards, social media and online articles.
