Commencing salary £39,297 per annum plus £1,118 lunch allowance (pro-rata for part-time)

We are looking to recruit an experienced, capable, and confident Office Manager to lead and manage a collaborative office team. Strategic, solution-focussed and proactive, the Office Manager will play a key role in the Regional Management Team which covers all work streams for the union. The Office Manager will contribute to the success of the union by participating in the development and delivery of the Regional Strategic Plan with particular focus on support for the union’s campaigns and activity
The Office Manager will take responsibility for all property matters, including the operational functioning of the premises and health and safety and operational budget management. The Office Manager will provide effective management and development for a high performing team, with excellent IT skills and strong interpersonal skills.
The role requires the ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines. Applicants must be able to work flexibly as part of a team and use their own initiative, when appropriate.
In addition to salary, we offer good conditions including a non-superannuable luncheon allowance currently set at £1188, 6.6 weeks’ annual leave plus Christmas closure days and a defined benefit pension scheme. The NEU also operates a Blended Working Arrangement Policy which means colleagues can occasionally work from home subject to business needs. Salary and benefits are pro-rata for part-time applicants.
