Online Teacher

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing start up company teaching English as a foreign language to students in China. Are you an experienced classroom teacher who is sick of spending hours planning lessons? Do you have a long commute that you hate? Then this position is for you!

We are looking for experienced and qualified primary or secondary teachers to join our team. You must love working with children (ages of the students range from 4 years of age to 16 years of age), and be passionate about education.

We can offer you initial training in the specific methods and courseware used in the EFL world, as well as the freedom to choose the hours that you want to work. You would be an independent contractor, meaning that you would be responsible for your own taxes and NI contributions.

Alongside qualified teacher status, the ideal candidate will be able to offer a fixed day or days per week in which they will work. The courses provided are ran for 30 weeks, so the teacher needs to be available for the same date and time for a minimum of 30 weeks so as not to disrupt the students' learning journey. The ideal candidate must also be willing to complete a TEFL qualification independently within 3 months of beginning this independent contractor position.

The available hours of work are: Monday to Friday 9-1 (winter) and 10-2 (summer). There are also opportunities to work longer hours at the weekends from 6am to 1pm (winter) and 5am to 2pm (summer).

Teachers are required to have proper devices to work online. Specifically, a computer with a camera, and a headset with a microphone. Teaching on phones or tablets is not permitted.
