Position Overview & Specifications
- Fluent in English, verbal and written. Other languages are a benefit.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical\/Energy Engineering or equivalent in a suitable technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience as an engineer, preferably in the maritime sector.
- Knowledge of medium and low voltage electricity generation and regulation systems and Knowledge of Energy Storage Systems.
- Knowledge of Converters and Control Drivers, of Shore Connection Plants and of the reference Standards for the Maritime\/Port Sector.
- Knowledge of the structure and implications Flag State, USCG and IMO rules and regulations, relating to Energy Efficiency \/ Carbon consumption.
- Experience in analytics to support the technical decision making.
- Experience in budget management and Project Management for technical project delivery.
- Support and manage projects related to energy efficiency on board all ships of the fleet, with a particular focus on the Hotel Energy management.
- Support the Energy Efficiency Department in choosing the best technological solutions to be installed both on board ships and in the Terminals related to sources of renewable Energy
- Advise and lead necessary changes in operation of existing ships including but not limited to the fuel consumption performance and energy efficiency projects.
- Assist the planning, preparation & project management for the Hotel Energy management: establishing and understanding an Energy Consumption Baseline.
- You will use this baseline, and will be supported by the current performance analytical tools, identifying, and making decisions on the most appropriate Energy efficiency initiatives.
- Cooperate with other departments to monitor, analyse and report of Fleet performance related to the optimization of the fuel consumption.
