Seasonal Team Member - Food and Beverage

As a Seasonal Team Member, you'll make it happen, whether you're preparing food, serving and orienting visitors or leading farm talks during the day.

Starting Pay Rate:

£7 - Age 16-17
£7.5- Age 18-20
£9.5 - Age 21-22
£10 - Age 23 +

We are looking for people who are compassionate and caring, practical and pragmatic and willing to get stuck in. You need to be able to work in a team as well as an individual across the animal park and in the food and beverage areas ensuring that the visitor’s safety and customer experience is a number one priority.

When working in the food and beverage areas the main duties include serving customers, operating a till, making drinks, some food preparation, maintaining high levels of cleanliness and cashing up. You will need to have good communication and time management skills and work well as part of a team. You don't need catering experience to work for us but you do need to be the kind of warm and friendly person that thrives in a customer facing role, will fit well in a hardworking and busy team and has a positive attitude.

Position Requirements

Quite simply, you'll be working in our fast moving, high energy environment and we’re looking for a genuine smile plus an ability to connect with visitors and make them feel valued. This post is for those able to work weekends and school holidays, starting before 9am and being able to work up to 7pm, as part of a rota.

Position Attributes

To join us as a Team Member you’ll need to be confident in approaching and dealing with visitors. Friendly, courteous and helpful behaviour will come naturally to you and you’ll work well as part of a team. Effective communication skills such as attentive listening, face-to-face verbal communication and eye contact are a must. You’ll also need to understand the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and service at a diverse range of tasks. The ability to maintain high energy levels whilst working both efficiently and productively is essential. Finally, your appearance should be smart, clean and approachable.

Experience or an interest in food and beverage is a desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
