CAD Technician/BIM Coordinator (Determination outside of IR35)

The Opportunity

BakerHicks is a design, engineering and project delivery company, specialising in complex infrastructure, process and built environments across the full project life cycle.

Due to current growth, the established Overhead Line Design team at BakerHicks requires to bolster their CAD design capabilities by appointing a CAD technician/BIM coordinator on a contracting basis. The role is required to provide CAD support to a high profile design project over the next 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Producing CAD layouts from technical mark-ups
• Managing the implementation and checking of CAD Standards, following the project BEP.
• Management of designs in ProjectWise and the interdisciplinary constraints attributed to the design models.
• Ensuring designs are delivered in line with relevant, current design standards, are constructible, and apply Safe by Design principles.
• Providing technical support to multi-disciplinary and electrification projects

Requirements

• You will have CAD experience in the rail environment using Microstation
• Projectwise would be ideal
• BIM compliance knowledge is ideal
