Position Overview & Specifications
A Manufacturing Quality Engineer is required in Sheffield for an outstanding opportunity in a specialist manufacturing company, supplying an array of products into a highly regulated industry.
They are looking to expand their team through the hiring of a dependant, adaptable and motivated manufacturing professional, to assist with technical inputs and provide production related support in resolving production issues.

Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial figure in delivering NPI and CI projects
- Identify and implement improvements in existing processes and products, as well as best practice and new technology
- Deliver company KPI's in relation to safety, quality, cost and delivery
- Develop, implement, validate and continuously improve the manufacturing line to meet said KPI's
- To support design, development and in load of new tools and fixtures
- Support the CAPEX process through identification, justification and ROI when introducing new equipment, machine and system into the business
- Raise problem reports, NCR, corrective action and preventive actions to address product quality concerns
- Create tool specifications, supplier selection, conduct design reviews, track development progress, perform production trials and implement into production
- Identify process improvements from the analysis of manufacturing KPIs and ensure PFMEAs and process control plans are in place for production
- Speak to all levels of business to ensure customer requests are fulfilled
- Collect, use and analyse data to identify and streamline manufacturing methods efficiency
Experience and qualifications:
- Experience of working as a Manufacturing/Process/Quality Engineer previously
- Experience of metals with relevant processes- machining, fabricating, welding, grinding, forming, forging, casting etc
- Proven ability to run improvement projects around scrap, rework and right first time
- Understanding of quality tools - 8D, PFMEAs, MSA, RCA, 5Y, etc
- Ability to communicate at any level of the business
- Friendly, ambitious and organised character
