Position Overview & Specifications

The MetaWorks team brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of 2D and 3D collaboration tools. We have a clear mandate to ship software at scale to customers from the small business to the large enterprise. In particular, seemingly impossible products that define new categories and that advance Meta’s mission of connecting the world.As a QA Lead on the MetaWorks team, you'll ensure the delivery of high-quality software and experiences on our flagship collaboration products. You'll be responsible for building and executing test strategy and test plans across multiple products and platforms while working with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects. You'll also investigate and debug issues across the software stack including desktop, mobile, and web. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter, with experience building enterprise software products and improving engineering efficiency, while putting quality and the customer experience first.


QA Lead, MetaWorks Responsibilities:

  • Build a test-driven engineering culture that drives improvements in quality
  • Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple products
  • Plan, develop and execute test coverage for multiple platforms
  • Identify, test, track and report KPI trends over the course of the projects
  • Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests to discover reoccurrences
  • Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution.
  • Own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor product performance.
  • Partner with Automation and Infrastructure team to leverage automation to allow better reliability and scalability.
  • Manage a remote team of Contingent Workers who are focused on execution of test cases.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience building, shipping, and maintaining commercial software
  • Experience with test planning, test designing and execution, performance and stress testing, implementing and maintaining quality test automation



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing black box and white box testing
  • Experience in driving broad quality initiatives across PM and Development teams.
  • Experience building and debugging enterprise software applications
