Industrial Tank Cleaner / Confined Space Operator

Merkland Tank – Over 100 years of tank cleaning and maintenance services.

We are looking for experienced Industrial Tank Cleaner / Confined Space Operator to join our growing team, based in Scotland.

The Role…

· Will be responsible for carrying out jetting and cleaning activities for our customers in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

· Encompasses the industrial cleaning of various tanks, vessels, pits, and other confined spaces.

· Will be responsible for safety of self and colleagues.

The Successful Candidates will preferably:

· Have previous experience of Industrial or tank cleaning with use of high vacuum and jetting machinery.

· Be trained (or willing to be trained) to be a confined space rescuer

· Be able to work safely and in line with established procedures. If you hold relevant certifications that will be an advantage.

· Have preferably worked in an industrial environment.

· Be based out of anywhere in Central Scotland. Regular commute to Glasgow (our head office) is required, our work is National.

· Enjoy teamwork and taking responsibility.

· Have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and represent our company well at all times with our customers.

· Be flexible to undertake work out with normal working hours and able to travel mostly within mainland Scotland, both paid at enhanced rates.

· Be passionate about doing the work right and safely.

Salary: From £12.30 per hour

All customer and employees are required to wear a mask, be temperature screened, hand sanitised with social distancing. Common surfaces are sanitised regularly and plastic shields have been built into work stations.
