We have an exciting job opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker at an Ofsted-Registered Children's Residential Home in Harrow, London.
You would be joining a team of professionals delivering high quality care to three young service users with complex behaviour.
This is a rewarding opportunity to be a part of a specialist Therapeutic Children's Service looking to make a difference in the lives of young people.
This is a permanent, Full time Position.
NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People’s Services or Equivalent is ESSENTIAL.
Experience having worked in a leadership position at a Children's Residential Home is ESSENTIAL.
Salary:
- £27,000-£31,000 initial salary based on experience
- £31,900 - £35,900 with the required sleep in shifts (£50 a night, approximately 8 a month)

Schedule:
- Full Time 40 hours per week
- Annual Holiday Entitlement
- Day Shifts, Night Shift and Sleep in shift availability

Responsibilities:
- Provide with children with a safe, therapeutic environment to help the child progress.
- Manage the home effectively in the absence of the home or deputy manager.
- Efficiently manage the home’s finances.
- Manage health and safety procedures and risk assessments in the home.
- Commit to the safeguarding and welfare of the children.
- Be aware of the children’s rights, allowing them to share their voice.
- Tend to the children’s individual needs
- To quickly respond to any emergencies in the home, should they arise.
- Engage, communicate, talk and listen to the children and young people.
- To liaise with and be a point of contact with external organisations, (schools etc) where appropriate.
- Assist with the preparation and scheduling of meetings where required, taking part and contributing to them also.
- To work alongside psychologists to enable effective integration of care and therapy.
- To lead the team in the absence of a deputy manager
- Share in the practical activities necessary to maintain the home to the highest standard.
- To adhere to the client’s model of practice and care procedures
- To be able to take responsibility for own your own personal development.
