This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance team at an exciting time. Our franchising strategy is at the heart of the Operations Finance team and is key to ensuring the longevity of our franchising business. Within this role you will focus on leading the team through modelling, understanding and challenging the key assumptions behind restaurant transactions, working with the Finance, Operations, Franchising and Legal teams to challenge and support our overall franchising strategy and McDonalds income.

The role itself will focus on many different aspects of the business. This involves working closely with both Finance and non-Finance senior management to make recommendations that focus on doing the right thing and not the easy thing and ensure the long-term financial success for both McDonalds and our franchisees.

What will my accountabilities be?

Responsibilities are varied and change regularly within the team.

• Managing and leading a small team to deliver on our franchise strategy from a financial perspective
• Business partnering with our Franchisee Directors, leading the relationship between Finance and our Operations hierarchy
• Building internal and external partnerships to ensure were capturing all of the information which will influence our decisions for franchising restaurants from sales and revenue drivers, through all of our cost lines
• Bring together these inputs to model the commercials for franchising new and existing restaurants, potential buybacks, sales between operators and the consideration of other franchising options.
• Plan and support both short-term and long-term Franchisee affordability and the delivery of our long-term franchising strategy, providing financial support to those who need it and ensuring franchisees are able to expand and grow.

You will sit within the Operations Finance Team the Operations Finance team are highly regarded across the business and have a great reputation for influencing, challenging and leading those at all levels, across all departments. The Finance team has a history of developing people and will create a breadth of opportunity for the individual to be exposed to all areas of the Finance team

• Finance Director, Strategic Finance Manager, Head of Operations & Real Estate Finance, Head of Corporate Finance, Senior Operations Finance Business Partners.
• Internal department Heads & Directors (Operations VPs, Franchisee Directors, Franchisee Consultants, Construction, Shared Services)
• Franchising and Legal - working on strategy, communication and engagement for transactions
• Our Franchisees engagement with franchisees is crucial to successfully execute our franchising strategy and will be an integral part of the role
• Global working with key stakeholders in Global to explore different franchising strategies
• The Banks ensuring funding for key transactions is secured and exploring different funding options
