Kitchen Porter/Assistant

As a kitchen assistant for Manor Adventure, Lockerbie Manor, Lockerbie, DG11 2RG you need to be able to work well in a team and have the ability to work quickly but efficiently. At meal times you will be rotated around different stations with the rest of the kitchen team from pot washing to serving food to guests, and from cleaning work surfaces to stocking up condiment stations. You’ll work with a team of kitchen assistants, chefs and the catering manager ensuring you are delivering high quality meals, following strict food and hygiene practices along with high levels of customer service whilst ensuring all guests are served within an allocated meal time.

This is a Full time position. Hours will be discussed in interview

As a Kitchen Assistant your job will be to assist in the smooth running of the Catering Department.

• Serving meals to guests
• Ensuring that the kitchen and servery meet high standards of cleanliness
• Assisting with keeping utensils clean and washing of dishes
• Have a good level of communication for serving but for also working as part of a team
• Complying with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety guidelines
• Representing the centre in a professional and friendly manner as the ability to interact with our guests is an important part of the job

No experience needed. Training give.

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
