Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic person for a Cyber Security Apprentice role within our dynamic Technology (IT) team. This is a unique opportunity to learn and develop essential cybersecurity skills from experienced professionals while building a successful career in the aviation industry.

Contract Information:

• Initial 48-month Fixed term contract
• 36.25 Hours (Full Time - Shift and Day working)
• Permanent offer subject to meeting academic and professional standards
• Planned salary increases of no less than 10% throughout the apprenticeship (paid annually)

About the Apprenticeship:
The Level 6 BSc (Hons) Cyber Security Technical Professional Degree Apprenticeship program is a work-based learning program designed to develop knowledge and technical competencies in cyber security, professional skills, and behaviours in technology functions or wider business areas. Individual coursework is the main method of assessment, with a range of coursework approaches used throughout the program, including technical projects, research-informed assignments, and work-based projects.

About the Role:
As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced Cyber Security Analysts and will be responsible for tasks such as:

• Monitoring and analysing computer networks and systems for security breaches or suspicious activity
• Conducting regular security assessments and tests to identify and address security weaknesses
• Investigating security incidents and developing response plans to prevent future attacks
• Staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to ensure the organisation is prepared to address new threats

Minimum Requirements:

• Three A Levels (or equivalent), preferably with at least one in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline
• Must live in England and have the right to work in the UK (Government funding requirement)
