Position

POSITION: PRODUCT MANAGER – GIVENCHY BEAUTY & LA COLLECTION PARTICULIERE

DEPARTMENT: MARKETING

LOCATION: LONDON

REPORTS TO: MARKETING DIRECTOR

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Responsible for the forecasting, Instore eventing and implementation of the marketing strategy of an assigned portfolio, in order to achieve targeted sales, market share, profit and contribution within the constraints of a set budget.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement new product launches in store & online. Strive to maintain growth on icons within the category/pillars

  • Develop the launch strategy (360° platform) with the Marketing Director
  • Lead & orchestrate launch projects with all departments (Merchandising / Sales / Education / PR / e-retail / e.com / CRM / Customer service) and spread vision
  • Maximise online and digital engagement by working really closely with the digital team & PR
  • Brief VM team for in-store execution and validate the design with Marketing director and VM team
  • Work closely with Marketing Intern to ensure projects are well communicated and delivered on time
  • Plan Action sheet for product placement and collateral for each period.
  • Contribute to the generation of creative ideas within the department to seek best practices.

Event implementation

  • Plan and project manage events in the UK, ensuring 360 supports for each event by working with the Merchandising team, Education, PR, Retail, Agencies, and other relevant field teams to brief them on concepts, mechanics and implementation
  • Using an entrepreneurial mindset to create innovative and special events for flagship stores to support exclusive launches
  • Create bespoke national retailer events by adapting each event to the specific region and retailer
  • Proactively seek inspiration from carrying out competitor analysis & spending time in store
  • Maximise impact of Givenchy launches to support retailers,
  • Measure the results of each event with learning’s and recommended actions for future events.
  • Work on the overall event strategy bringing retailtainment to the stores

Market analysis

  • Track competition on beauty and premium Fragrance launches as well as events to identify best practices from the business.
  • Monitor results on a weekly / monthly basis
  • Work on brand and franchise ambition (Full Year and Phased)

Trade Marketing plan, Sales and Education

  • Participate in the presentations of Beauty & LCP launches both internally and externally.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for internal and external meetings (sales conferences and strategy meetings).

Logistic and budgets

  • Ensure adequate stock coverage for all products through forecasting accuracy and quota management.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out within budget parameter as agreed with the Marketing Director

Manage budget and ensure sales forecasts accuracy for category

  • In charge of the POSM & Collateral tracker: ensure we are not overspending and spend is tracked properly
  • Work with Sales and Operation on forecasts of basic & new initiatives and correct phasing in line with our NPD (sell out) ambitions

Manage, coach and develop a 1 year intern



Profile

PROFILE


A Marketing or Business graduate with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a marketing role in. Previous exposure to luxury brands, eventing and/or retail.

  • Previous experience in operational product marketing and events, preferably in one of our 3 beauty categories (fragrance, skincare, make-up)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and leader in innovation
  • Experience of Planning and Launching instore Events
  • Highly organised team player
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English; both written and spoken
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passion & knowledge about the industry
  • Eager to learn and develop in a highly retail driven market landscape
  • Degree educated
