Position Overview & Specifications
Here at Lookers we are recruiting for a Cyber Security Analyst, with a very flexible hybrid working approach and occasional travel to our state of the art Head Office in Altrincham.
Reporting to the Head of Information & Cyber Security, this is a first-line, hands-on role responsible for operational Cyber Security, including the monitoring and maintenance of IT security tools, including Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM), anti-virus, and vulnerability management platforms to protect Lookers IT services, including public-facing websites.
Responsibilities:- First-line, at Lookers, for the investigation of IT security alerts and incidents.
- Operational IT security, including the monitoring and maintenance of IT security tools, such as Security Incident & Event
- Management (SIEM), endpoint protection, and vulnerability management platforms.
- Reviewing changes to determine the IT security impact.
- Identification and risk assessment of newly identified vulnerabilities.
- Support the Head of Information & Cyber Security to deliver continuous risk-based improvements, including public-facing websites and services
Experience conducting security control assessments or audits, including maintaining sufficient technical skills and understanding to be able to conduct assessments of IT systems to verify whether systems have been configured in line with industry accepted standards and have been sufficiently secured. You will have proven experience operating Cyber Security controls.
Able to advise software development managers to ensure that appropriate IT security requirements are addressed within the Software Development Lifecycle.
Able to advise upon the IT security architectural principles for the Lookers IT and have have one or more relevant IT security qualifications from a recognised body, such as CompTIA, ISC2 or ISACA with Cyber Security Essentials and/or PCI DSS compliance.
