Retail Assistant
Hours: Minimum 32 per week incl Saturdays
We are a busy, forward-looking customer-focussed community pharmacy and looking for a full-time Retail assistant to work “front of house”. You will be friendly, outgoing, competent and confident in efficiently, safely and accurately locating and handing out patient prescriptions using the inhouse systems. Selling and advising on Over The Counter medications under the supervision of the Pharmacist (Medicines Counter Assistants (MCA) training can be offered) using our EPOS till system. Maintaining stock levels and appearance across the retail unit.
This is a physically demanding job and would readily suit those with bar or waiting experience rather than solely “pure” retail; we use EPOS tills, tablets, Apps and tracking systems alongside our sophisticated patient dispensing system to provide the most personalised customer experience we can, be they regularly returning customers or walking in to our pharmacy for the first time. You are the face of our pharmacy- we want you to shine.
We are open 0900-1300 Monday to Saturday and 1300-1830 Monday to Friday (early closing Wednesday at 1730). You will be expected to work to a rotating shift pattern of full days which will include Saturday cover.
You will be confident, hardworking, with excellent communication, computer, and customer service skills, and willing to multi-task in a busy pharmacy. Ockendon now has a diverse demographic; a second language is a definite benefit.
Remuneration is competitive based on Qualifications and experience.
