General Assistant- Lakes Aquarium

We are recruiting for our General Assistant position working in our on site cafes, this contract will run until 6th November 2023.

What will you be doing?

· Serving food and drink in a Lakeside café to tourists and locals enjoying the wonderful Lake district.

· Maintaining site cleanliness and organisation with support from supervisors/managers.

· Providing excellent service to all customers and ensuring that they have quality food and drink.

· Preparing sandwiches and toasties for customers as well as handing out other food options (no prior experience is necessary and all training is provided).

· Preparing Starbucks drinks (All training provided).

· Serving hot food options.

· Taking orders and using POS

· Upselling on orders to ensure that customers are aware of our offers.

· Any other reasonable day to day duties.

· People with a can-do attitude who are able to work on their own initiative.

· Prior catering experience is advantageous but not required as all training is provided.

· Public transport runs to and from Newby Bridge regularly and we have the brand new west Windermere way that will bring you straight to us. (Head over the bridge at the swan hotel and turn right then follow the footpath straight to us, this walk takes about 15 minutes).
